Find the slope of a line parallel to x – 2y = 14

If it's parallel that means it has the same slope as the equation given.

x - 2y = 14

-2y = -x + 14

2y = x - 14

y = x/2 - 7

therefore the slope is 1/2 and the slope of a line parallel would also be 1/2
