Multiply the binomials (x+2) and (x+3) to find if they are the factors for x^2+3x+4:

[tex]\begin{gathered} (x+2)(x+3)=x\cdot(x+3)+2(x+3) \\ =x^2+3x+2x+6 \\ =x^2+5x+6 \end{gathered}[/tex]
