A new synthetic element has two isotopes. If the first isotope has a mass of 259.98 amu and a percent abundance of 54%, what is the percent abundance of the second isotope

since there are only two isotopes, the addition of both gives us 100%

if one is 54%, the other one must be 46%

100 - 54= 46
